Fig. 5.   Effects of ginger pretreatment on plasma vasopressin release induced by circular vection in subjects susceptible to motion sickness. Circular vection induced a significant increase in plasma vasopressin level (*P < 0.05, compared with basal). Elevation of plasma vasopressin was reduced by pretreatment with ginger [1,000 mg (hatched bars), 2,000 mg (filled bars); *P < 0.05, compared with control (open bars)]. No significant difference was observed between the 2 doses of ginger. All results are means ± SE (n = 13).
