Cover: Colocalization of antigen (tetanus toxoid-fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated; green) in the late endosomal compartment (M6PR+-phycoerythrin-conjugated; red), 60 min after pulsing a monolayer of HT-29 human colon carcinoma cells with fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated tetanus toxoid. Colocalization of antigen in the late endosomal compartment appears yellow. This is a classical class II pathway but is also the site where CD1d is located. From L. Mayer. Current Concepts in Mucosal Immunity. I. Antigen presentation in the intestine: new rules and regulations. Am. J. Physiol. 274 (Gastrointest. Liver Physiol. 37): G7-G9, 1998.
